Aurimic-Mitex Ear Rrops / Miconazole, Prednisolone, Polymyxin B /  18 g   Composition Aural suspension: MICONAZOLE (Sodium nitrate): 19.98 mg (equivalent to 23 mg miconazole nitrate) PREDNISOLONE (acetate s.f.): 4.48 mg (Equivalent to 5 mg of prednisolone acetate) POLYMYXIN B sulfate: 0.5293 mg (equivalent to 0.5293 mg of polymyxin B sulfate) Excipients q.s. : 1 ml indications In dogs and cats: - Treatment of otitis externa and small, localized and superficial skin infections caused by the following bacteria and fungi sensitive to miconazole and polymyxin B: . Gram-positive bacteria: Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp. . Gram-negative bacteria: Pseudomonas spp., Escherichia coli . Yeasts and fungi: Malassezia pachydermatis, Candida spp., Microsporum spp., Trichophyton spp. - Treatment of Otodectes cynotis infestations associated with infection with pathogens sensitive to miconazole and polymyxin B. Dose and method of administration Homogenise well before use. The administration of the Mitex ear drops depends on the clinical condition of the animal. Outer otitis: drop 3 to 5 drops in the ear twice a day and massage gently for good circulation. The product should be administered sequentially several days till the symptoms disappear. In chronic cases, the treatment should continue for up to 2-3 weeks. Contraindications Hypersensitivity to ingredients. Do not use in animals with perforated eardrum membrane.
